My Day In Lappeenranta, Finland

Hello everyone! I'm back with a new post from my last summer holiday. I went to Lappeenranta, a city in South Finland. It's really what I'm seeing as Finnish cultures city. Click on read more to read more! (hehe)

Lappeenranta is a city in South-East Finland (South-Karelia). Located next to the Saimaa lake. Which is the largest lake of Finland.

Lappeenranta had a defensive wall, where you now can walk on. There was a really pretty view over the harbor, and it was really fun.

Wooden and stone houses in different colours. The red house you see there in the back, is a typical Finnish wooden house.

A sauna thermometer, so funny! Here are the translations:
10: COLD
30: More wood!
50: Warm
70: amazingly nice
110: RUN AWAY!

I found the thermometer in this shop: Tyyki. In this building there were several really cute little shops. I bought a really nice postcard!

It was a really sunny and bright day, so we went to a sandbuildig exhibition. It was all about heroes, really impressive!

Did you recognise anyone? Haha, I thought it was so nice and real!

At the end of the day, we ate an icecream and walked around in the harbor. Almost bought a boat ;) and send our postcards to the Netherlands.

That was the little journey of my day in Lappeenranta!
I hope you liked it and I'll see you soon in my next post!
BYE!
Anna
